Warriors Fall To Pioneers In Spring Break Opener

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team opened its spring break week at the PTR Spring TennisFest Saturday night with a 9-0 setback to Carroll in non-conference action at Hilton Head Island Beach & Tennis Resort.

• The Pioneers claimed three wins in doubles play, including an 8-3 win at No. 1 over Jonny Wordell (Mequon, Wis.) and Matt Plaski (Milwaukee, Wis.).
• Wordell and Plaski dropped a couple close matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, falling 6-4, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-3, respectively.

• The Warriors return to the courts Monday when they take on Webster (2-2) at 12:00 p.m. CST at Hilton Head Resort.
