Warriors Suffer Non-Conference Setback To Carroll

ELKHORN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team continued its early-season non-conference slate on Sunday with a dual against Carroll. The Pioneers defeated the Warriors 9-0 at Four Lakes Athletic Club.

• The Pioneers posted a 3-0 lead after doubles play after winning matches from the Warriors by scores of 8-1, 8-2, and 8-1. WLC, which won games in five of six singles matches, dropped a pair of closely-contested sets in singles play. Freshman Stu Woller (Mount Horeb, Wis.) fell 7-5, 6-3 at No. 4 and freshman Josh Hennen (Slinger, Wis.) was defeated 6-2, 7-6 at No. 6.

• The Warriors play their first home match of the season next Saturday when they host Calvin (0-1) in non-conference action. First serve is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the Princeton Club in New Berlin.
