(WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College football team couldn't recover from a 28-10 first-half deficit, as they dropped their final NACC road game of the season on Saturday to Concordia Chicago, 41-38, at Concordia Stadium. Senior Ty Castillo (Palmetto, Fla.) tied a career high with 20 tackles in the three-point setback.

- The Cougars scored on all five of their first-half possessions as they built a 31-17 halftime lead over the Warriors.
- WLC's three points in the first quarter came from a 26-yard field goal from freshman Arnulfo Ortega (Laredo, Texas). Senior Justin Parbs (Brookfield, Wis.) rushed for a 49-yard touchdown and senior Nick Yockey (Gig Harbor, Wash.) connected with sophomore Carter Schneider (Lake Mills, Wis.) for a seven-yard score to account for Wisconsin Lutheran's 14 second-quarter points.
- Parbs scampered for a 55-yard touchdown run on the first play of the second half to cut the Warriors' deficit to 31-24.
- Following a CUC field goal, WLC made it a three-point game when Yockey found sophomore Trevion Green (Miami, Fla.) for a 31-yard touchdown strike with 5:19 left in the third quarter.
- Wisconsin Lutheran stopped Concordia Chicago on its next two possessions but couldn't capitalize on its own.
- The Cougars went ahead by 10 points with just 2:37 left in the game, but the Warriors answered with a 31-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Matthew Davis (Lake Mills, Wis.) to freshman Devan Hopkins (Greensburg, La.) with 1:26 remaining on the fourth-quarter clock.
- WLC was unable to recover an onside kick attempt and CUC converted on a 3-and-14 play to run out the clock.
