Waech Steps Down As Warriors' Women's Soccer Coach

Spent three seasons as head coach at WLC

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Third-year Wisconsin Lutheran College head women's soccer coach Maggy Waech has stepped down from her coaching position, Director of Athletics Skip Noon announced on Wednesday.

"I am honored and privileged to have had the opportunity to serve the women's soccer program at WLC," said Waech. "I look forward to seeing the program continue to grow and produce successful servant leaders both on and off the field. Go Warriors!"

Waech, who was named the sixth head coach in program history in November 2019, won 12 games over her three seasons in Milwaukee. She mentored four players who earned a total of five NACC Honorable Mention awards, and three of her athletes were named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week. Waech also oversaw all aspects of WLC's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

"I want to thank Maggy for everything she's done for our women's soccer program over the past three years," said Noon. "We wish her the best as she devotes more time to her family."

A search to fill the coaching vacancy will begin immediately.
