Wisconsin Lutheran Drops NACC Opener To CUW

NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team dropped its conference-opening match to Concordia Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon at the Princeton Club. The Falcons defeated the Warriors by a score of 7-2. 

• Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 7, Wisconsin Lutheran 2
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (5-6, 0-1 NACC), Concordia Wisconsin (5-8, 2-0 NACC)
• Location: Princeton Club, New Berlin, Wis. 

• The Warriors dropped all three doubles matches to the Falcons, including a tough decision at No. 1 where senior Evan Sadowski (New Berlin, Wis.) and freshman Aidan Newberg (Manitowoc, Wis.) fell 8-7 (7-2). 
• Sadowski picked up WLC's first win of the day when he defeated his opponent at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4.
• Newberg followed with a three-set victory at No. 2 singles, knocking off his counterpart 3-6, 6-1, 10-4, tying for the team lead with his seventh singles win this season.
• CUW claimed straight set wins the remainder of singles play, as they knocked off WLC 7-2.

• The Warriors will next host Concordia Chicago (0-3, 0-2 NACC) on Saturday, April 2 for a 4:30 p.m. NACC match at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club in Jackson.
