WLC Downed By Duhawks On Sunday

JACKSON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 non-conference match to Loras on Sunday morning at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club. 

  • Final Score: Loras 7, Wisconsin Lutheran 2
  • Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (5-5), Loras (4-6)
  • Location: Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club, Jackson, Wis.

  • The Warriors dropped all three doubles matches to the Duhawks, but the No. 3 team of sophomores Jon Kannenberg (Butler, Wis.) and Bryce Halvorsen (Fredonia, Wis.) put up quite a fight despite falling 8-7.
  • Senior Evan Sadowski (New Berlin, Wis.) started singles play for WLC with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1 for his fifth win of the season.
  • Freshman Asa White (Farmington, N.M.) improved to 7-1 in singles play this year after his 6-1, 1-6, 10-6 triumph at No. 3.
  • Loras picked up straight set victories in the remaining four singles matches to earn the win.

  • The Warriors have 19 days off before they next host Olivet Nazarene (2-5) in a non-conference match on Friday, March 25 at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club in Jackson.
