Wisconsin Lutheran Nets Fourth Straight NACC Win

JACKSON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team extended its winning streak to four straight matches with a 7-2 NACC victory over St. Norbert on Sunday at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club. The contest was the first-ever meeting on the courts between the Warriors and Green Knights.

• The Warriors claimed two wins over St. Norbert to open doubles play. Senior Evan Sadowski (New Berlin, Wis.) and freshman Aidan Newberg (Manitowoc, Wis.) teamed together at No. 1 for an 8-2 win. Sophomore Jon Kannenberg (Butler, Wis.) and freshman Asa White (Farmington, N.M.) were 8-1 victors partnering at No. 2.
• WLC continued its domination in singles winning five out of six matches. Sadowski improved his singles record to 5-0 in the NACC with a 6–0, 6-0 sweep at No. 1 singles. Newberg notched a win at No. 2 singles with a commanding 6-1, 6-2 victory. White recorded his team-leading 11th singles victory of the year at No. 3 with a 6-2, 6-1 win. Kannenberg collected a tough three-set victory with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-5 result at No. 4 singles. Halvorsen closed it out at No. 5 singles, winning 6-1, 6-3.

• The Warriors travel to Kenosha on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. non-conference match against Carthage (19-1) at Smeds Tennis Center.
