WLC Keeps Rolling With Sweep Over Muskies

KOHLER, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team won its third straight NACC match on Saturday morning by sweeping Lakeland 9-0 at the Sports Core. The win was also the Warriors' third straight conference sweep.

• The Warriors claimed three wins over the Muskies to open doubles play. Senior Evan Sadowski (New Berlin, Wis.) and freshman Aidan Newberg (Manitowoc, Wis.) teamed together at No. 1 for an 8-5 win. Sophomore Jon Kannenberg (Butler, Wis.) and freshman Asa White (Farmington, N.M.) were 8-1 victors partnering at No. 2, and sophomores Bryce Halvorsen (Fredonia, Wis.) and Matt Bass (Village of Lakewood, Ill.) took an 8-2 victory at No. 3.
• Sadowski improved his singles record to 4-0 in the NACC with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. Newberg notched a win at No. 2 singles with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 victory. White recorded his team-leading 10th singles victory of the year at No. 3 with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Kannenberg won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Halvorsen dominated at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1, and Hennen closed it out with another 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 6.

• The Warriors host NACC newcomer St. Norbert (3-5, 2-2 NACC) tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club in Jackson.
