MILWAUKEE - Freshmen Florin Maduta (Waterford, Wis./Waterford) and Kaleb Buch (Manitowoc, Wis./Lutheran) both found the back of the net on Saturday as Wisconsin Lutheran College blanked Northland International University 2-0 in the final game of the 2009 Warrior Cup at Warrior Field.

Maduta put Wisconsin Lutheran on the board at the 28:34 mark of the first half when he put a loose ball in the net off an assist from junior Jhonathan Rosales (Guatemala City, Guatemala/English American School). WLC carried its 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Warriors added onto their lead 12 minutes into the second half when Buch, who led the team with three shot attempts, tallied his first collegiate goal when he scored unassisted. Matt Eisold (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) made eight saves and recorded his second straight shutout for the Warriors, who were out-shot 17-12.

Micah Herron recorded five shots for Northland International (0-2-1).

Wisconsin Lutheran (2-0-1) opens Northern Athletics Conference action on Tuesday when it hosts Maranatha Baptist Bible College in a 7 p.m. contest at Warrior Field.
