Duhawks Down Warriors, 8-1

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team was defeated by the Loras Duhawks 8-1 on Sunday in non-conference action at the Loras Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Warriors dropped all three doubles matches to start as Paige Potaracke (La Crosse, Wis./Luther) and Kayln Geddes (Bend, Ore./Luther Preparatory) fell 8-3 at No. 1. 
• Emily Boyd (Lebanon, Wis./Luther Preparatory) and Tabitha Schulz (Spokane, Wash./Luther Preparatory) took their doubles match to the limit, but eventually fell 9-8 (7-5). 
• Kendra Bergmann (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) and Taylor Bergmann (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) dropped their No. 3 doubles match, 8-2. 
• Wisconsin Lutheran's lone win of the day came at No. 2 singles where Geddes defeated Emma Cooke in three sets, 0-6, 6-2, 10-7. Unfortunely the Duhawks won the other five singles matches in straight sets.

UP NEXT

• The Warriors return to the courts on Thursday when they travel to Ripon to take on the Red Hawks (4-14) at 4:30 p.m. WLC defeated Ripon 5-4 in its previous matchup in September.
