Warriors Race At Benedictine Relays

LISLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team competed Friday at the Benedictine Relays inside the Sports Complex. The two-day meet was shortened due to inclement weather and Saturday's events were cancelled. Complete results and final team scores were not available at the time of this release.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Warriors 4x800-meter relay team including Kaylyn Shevey (Muskego, Wis.), Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.), Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.), and Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis.) finished seventh in a time of 10:33.42.
• The Warriors sprint medley team consisting of Jenna Schmitz (Fox Lake, Wis.), Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif.), Brooke Malchow (Calhan, Neb.), and Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) placed eighth with a collective time of 4:45.63.
• Bethany Wagenknecht (Yorba Linda, Calif.) ran in her first-ever 10,000 meters and finished with a time of 44:10.11.

• The Warriors will be competing next Saturday at the St. Norbert Invitational. Events start at 10:30 a.m. inside Schneider Stadium in De Pere.
