Women's Cross Country Starts Season In Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's cross country team opened its 2021 season on Saturday at the 47th annual Tom Barry Invitational at Colburn Park in Green Bay. The Warriors placed seventh at the season-opening event with 184 points.

• Top WLC Individual: Mikaela Sullivan, 31st of 87, 21:40.03

• Junior Mikaela Sullivan (Wauwatosa, Wis.) paced the Warriors in their season-opening 5K event. She completed the course in 21:40.03 for 31st place in the 87-runner field.
• Junior Brooke Graesslin (Janesville, Wis.) was the second WLC runner to cross the finish line, placing 33rd overall in a time of 21:51.66.
• Sophomores Ashlee Mueller (Fredonia, Wis.) and Chloe Todor (Franklin, Wis.) finished back-to-back in 36th and 37th with times of 22:13.00 and 22:23.22, respectively.
• Sophomore Savanah Bland (Seneca, Ill.) rounded out the top five placers for Wisconsin Lutheran with a time of 24:14.10. 
• The Green and White totaled 184 points for seventh place. Meet host St. Norbert placed four runners inside the top 10 to win the event with 34 points. SNC's Joyana Tarsa won the 5k race with a time of 19:16.16.

• The Warriors are off next week and return to the course on Saturday, September 18 for the Tom Hoffman Invitational hosted by UW-Whitewater. The 6K race starts at 10 a.m.
