WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College finished second out of 11 teams with 68 points on Saturday at the 25th-annual Warrior Invitational at Greenfield Park.
Freshman
Calliope Horn (San Diego, Calif.) led WLC with a seventh-place finish and 6K time of 25:10.0. Freshman
Maddie Metz (Chino Valley, Ariz.) and sophomore
Kirstin Neuwirth (New Berlin, Wis.) were 12th and 13th with times of 26:12.1 and 26:18.4, respectively. Junior
Rachel Homan (New Lisbon, Wis.) was 20th with a time of 27:45.0, senior
Sylvia Walentowski (Neenah, Wis.) was 23rd with a time of 27:57.3, and junior
Madelyn Beyer (Appleton, Wis.) was 27th a time of 28:12.7. Freshman
Brooke Hodkiewicz (Oconto Falls, Wis.) was 43rd with a time of 30:20.9, freshman
Caia Van Kampen (Albuquerque, N.M.) was 47th with a time of 30:43.3, and freshman
Clare Gappa (Coleman, Wis.) was 58th with time of 32:59.0.
Wisconsin Track Club, which had three of the top four finishers, won the invitational with 34 points. Dasha Vorontsov of Wisconsin Track Club won the 88-runner 6K race with a time of 22:04.4.
Wisconsin Lutheran competes next Saturday at the Gene Davis Invitational at Reid Municipal Golf Course in Appleton. The women's 6K race starts at 11 a.m.
