Wisconsin Lutheran Posts Another Strong Showing At Warrior Invitational

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's outdoor track & field team won four events and finished second in two others en route to a third-place team finish on Thursday at the Warrior Invitational at Raabe Stadium. The meet was the largest ever hosted by the Warriors, who scored 85 points and have finished no lower than third at all four of their outdoor competitions this season.

• Senior Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) captured both the 100m and 200m titles with finishing times of 12.20 and 24.50 seconds, respectively.
• Junior Mikaela Sullivan (Wauwatosa, Wis.) topped the 33-competitor field in the 800m with a time of 2:24.83.
• WLC's 4x400m Relay team of Schumacher, juniors Grace Weide (Waterford, Wis.) and Brooke Graesslin (Janesville, Wis.), and sophomore Ashlee Mueller (Fredonia, Wis.) took home the title with a time of 4:10.96.
• The 4x100m Relay squad comprised of freshmen Abigail Pechman (Savannah, Ga.) and Rachel Romens (Slinger, Wis.), sophomore Mattie Stutzman (Burlington, Wis.), and Schumacher sprinted to a runner-up finish in 51.46 seconds.
• Junior Anna Raasch (Germantown, Wis.) raced to a runner-up finish in the 400m with a time of 1:02.51.
• Wiede came in third in both the 100m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles after she recorded times of 15.44 seconds and 1:09.90, respectively.
• Freshman Liz Eilertson (Mukwonago, Wis.) recorded a fourth-place finish in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.13m.
• Sophomore Madi O'Dell (Manteno, Ill.) and junior Kayla Pagel (Kenosha, Wis.) registered fourth- and fifth-place finishes in the Javelin with marks of 29.62m and 28.33m, respectively.
• Senior Christina Biffert (Fond du Lac, Wis.) posted a seventh-place finish in the 5,000m with a time of 21:04.47.
• Graesslin scored an eighth-place finish in the 1,500m by clocking in at 5:12.02.

It can be easy to be intimidated in a meet this large, but our team responded very well! • The Warriors will be home again next Saturday, April 23 for the third time this outdoor season when they host the Green & White Invite at Raabe Stadium. Field events begin at 10 a.m.
