MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2026 outdoor season at the Rhodes Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Crain Field, recording several top-eight finishes across the two-day event.
In the field events, sophomore
Amelia Kelley (Appleton, Wis.) led the Warriors with a third-place finish in the Pole Vault, clearing 2.75m. Junior
Marin Schibbelhut (Onalaska, Wis.) added an eighth-place finish in the High Jump at 1.43m. Senior
Leah Schmidt (Bonduel, Wis.) placed sixth in the Shot Put with a mark of 10.62m, while sophomore
Aubrey Kadolph (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished eighth in the Javelin with a throw of 33.93m.
On the track, Schibbelhut was sixth in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 18.56 seconds. Freshman
Lucy Luedtke (Marshfield, Wis.) recorded a seventh-place finish in the 400m with a time of 1:05.74.
WLC also turned in a pair of fifth-place relay performances. The 4x100m Relay team of junior
Madelyn Vanderhoof (Watertown, Wis.), freshman
Jaci Volp (Fremont, Wis.), Kelley and Luedtke finished in 54.14 seconds, while the 4x800m Relay team of junior
Madelyn Beyer (Appleton, Wis.), Kelley, sophomore
Kirstin Neuwirth (New Berlin, Wis.), and freshman
Maddie Metz (Chino Valley, Ariz.) finished in 10:34.66.
Wisconsin Lutheran next competes on Saturday, March 28 at the Carroll University Alumni & Open in Waukesha. Field and running events start at 10 a.m.
