MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Senior
Leah Schmidt (Bonduel, Wis.) broke her own school record in the Weight Throw as Wisconsin Lutheran College closed out the regular season portion of its schedule on Saturday at the Panther Tune-Up inside Klotsche Center.
Schmidt highlighted the meet by breaking her own school record in the Weight Throw, posting a personal-best mark of 13.61m, breaking her previous school record of 13.52m from earlier this season. Freshman
Audra Kopfer (Columbus, Wis.) also turned in a personal-best mark in the Weight Throw with an 8.90m effort.
In the High Jump, freshman
Jaci Volp (Fremont, Wis.) cleared a personal-best height of 1.35m, while junior
Madelyn Vanderhoof (Watertown, Wis.) recorded a season-best clearance of 1.30m.
On the track, junior
Madelyn Beyer (Appleton, Wis.) recorded a personal best in the 800m, finishing in 2:32.51. Fellow freshman
Clare Gappa (Coleman, Wis.) also posted a personal-best performance in the event, crossing the line in 3:01.51.
WLC will next compete at the 2026 NACC Indoor Championships, held next Friday and Saturday at Willmore Center in Ripon.
