GENEVA, Ohio (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) earned her second career All-American honor while setting a pair of school records on the final day of the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at the SPIRE Institute.
Schumacher, who was seeded 16th in the 100m entering the championships, finished 9th in the 100m Final with a new school-record time of 11.93 seconds. "What a finish for Kendra," said third-year head coach Eric Kramer. "Coming in ranked 16th in the 100m, make the final, and run a lifetime best. Can't ask for more than that!"
The senior earned her second career All-American honor after finishing fourth in the 200m Final with a school-record time of 24.00 seconds. Schumacher was seeded sixth in the event entering the championships and ran the sixth-fastest preliminary time of 24.03 seconds. "Kendra ran a great race for a new school record," said Kramer. "I could not be more proud of her effort this weekend. Each of our athletes who ran will have positive memories of this experience and I know our returners are already anxious to come back in future years. The future of the program is very bright!"
Schumacher finishes her Warriors' career with a pair of All-American honors and 11 school records.
