MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's
Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) and
Jack Leffel (Germantown, Wis.) were named Third Team All-Region by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday.
Galvan, a senior goalkeeper, started all 18 games in the net for the Warriors. He recorded a league-high eight shutouts and a conference-leading .795 save percentage. The Second Team All-NACC selection made 58 saves and allowed just 15 goals, the fewest in the NACC this season. This is Galvan's second straight All-Region honor.Â
Leffel, a sophomore defender, was one of four WLC players to start all 18 games. He anchored a backline that posted a conference-best nine shutouts and surrendered just 15 goals, the fewest in the league. The First Team All-NACC selection also scored his first career goal Oct. 7 vs. Benedictine. This is Leffel's first All-Region award.
Wisconsin Lutheran, which qualified for the NACC Tournament for the eighth time, finished its 2023 season 8-7-3 overall and 6-6-0 in the NACC.
