MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2023 outdoor season on Saturday at the Rhodes Invitational at Wolfe Track and Field Complex.
Junior
Anna Raasch (Germantown, Wis.) placed third in the 400m with a personal-best time of 58.58 seconds, also good for 10th currently in NCAA Division III. Senior
Brooke Graesslin (Janesville, Wis.) was sixth in the event in 1:01.44.
Sophomore
Liz Eilertson (Mukwonago, Wis.) leaped to a third-place finish in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.86m. She was also fifth in the Javelin with a personal-best toss of 30.56m.
Freshman
Leah Wierschke (Mill Creek, Wash.) was fourth in the Pole Vault, clearing a height of 2.35m.
Freshman
Sydney Schroer (Saginaw, Mich.) came in seventh in the 100m with a time of 13.73 seconds.
Senior
Emily Herried (Necedah, Wis.) finished eighth in the Mile with a time of 5:42.54. Sophomore
Louisa Felgenhauer (Lusaka, Zambia) was also eighth in the 5,000m with a time of 22:42.48.
In the 4x800 Relay, Graesslin, Herried, freshman
Sylvia Walentowski (Neenah, Wis.), and junior
Ashlee Mueller (Fredonia, Wis.) were runner-up in 10:12.37.
The 4x100m Relay team of Eilertson, Raasch, Schroer, and Alyssa Lemke came in third with a time of 53.70 seconds.
Senior
Kayla Pagel (Kenosha, Wis.) recorded a fifth-place throw in the Hammer (34.08m) and an eighth-place mark in the Discus (27.80m).
Sophomore
Emily Meiller (Madison, Wis.) and Lemke placed sixth and seventh in the High Jump at 1.37m and 1.32m, respectively.Â
Freshman
Leah Schmidt (Bonduel, Wis.) was seventh in the Hammer (31.69m) and eighth in the Shot Put (9.57m).
Sophomore
Stephanie Schafer (Lake Mills, Wis.) placed eighth in the Hammer with a toss of 31.20m, and senior
Paige Sweem (Kalispell, Mont.) was eighth with heave of 24.50m in the Javelin.
The Warriors compete next Saturday at the Private College Championships at the Dennis Punches Track and Field Complex in Waukesha. Events begin at 10 a.m.
