LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Five members of the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team competed in a pair of last chance meets across a two-day span this weekend.
At the North Central Carius-Gregory Invitational on Thursday and Friday, junior
Ashlee Mueller (Fredonia, Wis.) finished seventh in the 400m with a personal-best time of 1:01.91. Senior
Brooke Graesslin (Janesville, Wis.) placed fourth among 23 runners in the 800m with a time of 2:20.06. Senior
Emily Herried (Necedah, Wis.) recorded a personal-best time of 2:26.28 for 10th place in the same event.
At Friday's UW-La Crosse Eagle Open, junior
Janae Jensen (Slinger, Wis.) sprinted to a personal-best time of 12.69 seconds in the 100m prelims before finishing fourth in the final in 12.81 seconds. In the 200m, Jensen was just .01 seconds off her all-time best for a fifth-place finish in 25.92 seconds. Sophomore
Rachel Romens (Slinger, Wis.) cleared a personal-best height of 1.54m in the High Jump for fifth place. Romens also was ninth in the Triple Jump (10.14m) and 16th in the Long Jump (4.69m).
WLC will compete next week in its final last chance meets of the 2023 outdoor season.
