WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College finished fifth with 97 points at the 24th annual Warrior Invitational on Saturday at Greenfield Park.
Graduate student
Emily Herried (Necedah, Wis.) placed eighth overall to lead the Warriors with a personal-best 6K time of 25:24.82.
Sophomore
Madelyn Beyer (Appleton, Wis.) posted a top-25 finish after she came in 24th with a time of 27:19.00. Sophomore
Rachel Homan (New Lisbon, Wis.) was 26th with a personal-best time of 27:32.57, senior
Louisa Felgenhauer (West Bend, Wis.) was 29th with a time of 27:48.44, and senior
Faith Boerner (Andover, Minn.) was 33rd with a time of 28:25.31 to round out the team score for WLC.
Milwaukee, which had a trio of top-10 finishers, scored 43 points to win the team title. Dasha Vorontsov of Wisconsin Track Club won the individual 6K title with a time of 21:51.91.
Wisconsin Lutheran competes in the Gene Davis Invitational on Saturday, October 12 at Reid Municipal Golf Course in Appleton. The women's 6K race starts at 11 a.m.
