LEXINGTON, Ky. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2024 outdoor track & field season at the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Transylvania on Saturday at Pat Deacon Stadium. The Warriors scored 49 points for a seventh-place finish at the 14-team event.
Senior
Janae Jensen (Slinger, Wis.) accumulated 18 points for WLC by placing runner-up in the Long Jump (4.82m), third in the 200m (26.79 seconds), and fifth in the 100m (12.89 seconds).
Junior
Liz Eilertson (Mukwonago, Wis.) posted a fourth-place finish in the Javelin at 26.43m, and a seventh-place leap in the Long Jump of 4.15m.
Junior
Stephanie Schafer (Lake Mills, Wis.) was seventh in the Discus with a toss of 25.03m.
Sophomore
Leah Schmidt (Bonduel, Wis.) placed seventh in the Shot Put and eighth in the Hammer with marks of 9.87m and 32.92m, respectively.
