WHITEWATER, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's
Rachel Romens (Slinger, Wis.) tied for first in the High Jump by matching her own school record on Saturday at the Squig Converse Invite hosted by UW-Whitewater at Williams Center.
Romens tied for first out of 31 competitors in the High Jump by clearing a school-record height of 1.62m (5' 3.75"), which she also set on Feb. 3, 2024 at the Red Hawk Invite. The senior, who tied for the top spot in the event with Brynn Fuerstenberg of UW-Whitewater, ranks 27th on the NCAA Division III Indoor Qualifying list.
Sophomore
Marin Schibbelhut (Onalaska, Wis.) also recorded a personal-best mark of 1.37m in the High Jump. Sophomore
Rachel Homan (New Lisbon, Wis.) completed the Mile with a personal-best time of 6:14.56. Sophomore
Lauren Rastall (De Pere, Wis.) finished the 800m with a personal-best time of 2:49.26.
UW-La Crosse scored 161 points to take home the 11-team scoring title.
WLC travels to Kenosha next Saturday, February 8 for the Tadd Metzger Invitational hosted by Carthage. Events are scheduled for an 11:30 a.m. start inside Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center. A live results link can be found at WLCSports.com.
