Three From WLC Compete Thursday At Firebird Spring Invitational

RACINE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College had three individuals compete on Thursday at the Firebird Spring Invitational hosted by Carthage at Meadowbrook Country Club. 

In his first collegiate event, freshman Caleb DeRuiter (Milwaukee, Wis.) tied for 45th with an 83. Freshman Noah Weidner (Columbus, Wis.) was 83rd with a 95, and freshman Sawyer Johnson (Brookings, S.D.) was 85th with a 105. 

St. Norbert shot a 307 to win the 14-team event by five shots over runner-up Carthage B. Ethan Frasch of Carthage B and John Wysocky of St. Norbert shared earned medalist honors with a 74.

The Warriors host the 12-team Morningstar Masters on Saturday at Moringstar Golfers Club in Waukesha. Tee time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Live results can be found at WLCSports.com.
