Alana (Johnson) Nowak was a dual-sport standout for the women's basketball and softball teams at Wisconsin Lutheran College. On the hardwood, Nowak, who ranks fifth all-time with 1,485 points, was the first player in program history to receive Player of the Year honors from the Lake Michigan Conference (1996-1997). In addition, she was named NAIA Great Lakes West Region Player of the Year, NAIA All-District, and was a three-time First Team All-LMC selection. Nowak nearly averaged a career double-double at 14.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, which are both fourth all-time. The Barneveld native is tied for first with 30 games played during a season, and her 519 points scored during her senior season ranks second all-time. Nowak posted single-game highs of 18 free throws made and 22 rebounds, and season-highs of 222 field goals made and 344 rebounds, all of which rank within the top five. On the diamond, Nowak was a two-time First Team All-LMC selection as well as an Honorable Mention pick. She is third all-time in wins (24), fourth in complete games (52), and fifth in earned run average (4.79) and innings pitched (332.2).
