The first player in the history of the Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball program to receive All-American accolades, Chris Glasel established himself as one of the top players in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) during his final two seasons with the Warriors. The Appleton, Wisconsin, native recovered from an ACL injury that sidelined him for his rookie season, and two years later, became the 2007 NCAA Division III batting average champion. Glasel, who was named D3baseball.com All-America Honorable Mention and First Team All-NAC, batted .494 (44-for-89) while playing 27 games his junior year. He remains the only player in the 15-year history of the conference to win a NCAA batting title, and the single-season performance still ranks atop the league record books. Glasel also posted a school- and conference-leading .571 on-base percentage in the NAC's inaugural season. A 2008 NAC Honorable Mention selection, Glasel batted at a .344 clip and had 42 hits in 30 games his senior season. The two-time NAC Student-Athlete of the Week started 77 of 84 career games and ranks in the top five of WLC records in batting average (.381), on-base percentage (.456), and slugging percentage (.430).
