Hall of Fame
The most decorated cross country runner in Lake Michigan Conference history, Wisconsin Lutheran College's Tim Koepsell was the only individual to claim three conference titles during his four-year (2002-2005) career. The 2002 LMC Rookie of the Year burst onto the conference landscape by winning the 8K championship race in his first season as a Warrior. Koepsell claimed the first of two LMC Runner of the Year awards in 2003 by topping the next closest finisher by 1 minute, 27 seconds for his second consecutive conference crown. Following a third-place individual finish at the 2004 LMC Championship, he paced WLC to its highest placing in LMC history one year later. Koepsell, who captured his third conference title, was named LMC Runner of the Year as a senior while leading a team with four other freshmen scorers to a runner-up finish. The Reno, Nevada, native was the program's first four-time all-conference honoree and holds the fifth-fastest 8K performance in school history of 25 minutes, 31 seconds. A four-year track & field letterwinner, Koepsell held eight school records upon graduating and ranks in the top-10 in six events, including the school's 1,500m indoor record.
