Katie (Schommer) Cleven became the first female student-athlete in Wisconsin Lutheran College cross country history to qualify for the NCAA Championships when she achieved the feat in 2010. Her time of 21:58 still ranks as the fastest time among any NAC runners who have competed at the NCAA Championships. A four-time All-NAC performer (2008-2011), Cleven became the first runner in NAC women's cross country history to collect back-to-back conference Runner of the Year awards, a distinction she earned her junior and senior seasons. The Fort Atkinson native, who was also named NAC Freshman of the Year in 2008 and an All-Region recipient in 2010, holds the three fastest 6K times in program history. The eight-time NAC Student-Athlete of the Week also holds four records on the track, including the 5,000m (indoor and outdoor), distance medley (indoor), and mile (outdoor). Cleven was also a three-time NAC Scholar-Athlete.
