Sharp-shooting three-point specialist Dan Tjernagel is one of the top players in Wisconsin Lutheran College men's basketball history. The Warriors' all-time leader in three-point field goals made (337), Tjernagel ranks fifth all-time in scoring with 1,824 points. During his senior season of 1993-1994, Tjernagel set the school's all-time scoring record after he poured in a school-record 647 points. A NAIA All-District selection and two-time Lake Michigan Conference Honorable Mention pick, Tjernagel drained a school-record 13 three-pointers on his way to scoring 49 points on November 13, 1992. The 49-point output ranks second in program history. In addition, Tjernagel's 36 points scored in a game during the 1993-1994 campaign ranks ninth all-time. Tjernagel, who played two seasons each under former head coaches Paul Knueppel and Skip Noon, is tied for first with 32 games played in a season and ranks third all-time in field goals made (626). The Marinette native, who was a member of the Warriors' first 20-plus win team in 1991-1992, ranks in the top 10 in 33 game, season, and career statistical categories.
