Tanner Behnke's playmaking ability helped Wisconsin Lutheran College clinch its first conference championship in program history. On November 15, 2014, the linebacker intercepted a pass and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown to seal a 21-14 win over Concordia Wisconsin for a share of the Warriors' (7-3, 5-1 NACC) first league title. The NACC leader in tackles (105) and solo tackles (61) his senior season, Behnke was named 2015 D3football.com Second Team All-Region, NACC Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-NACC. He also collected a pair of Second Team All-NACC honors and was twice named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week. Playing in all 40 career games, the Brillion, Wisconsin, native finished his four-year (2012-2015) career with 239 total tackles, including 230 over his final three seasons, 143 solo stops, 27 tackles for loss, five sacks, and four interceptions. He posted nine games with double-digit tackles, including a career-best 19 on October 10, 2015, at Benedictine, good for third all-time. Off the gridiron, Behnke was the recipient of the Roger Fleming Senior Scholar-Athlete Award in addition to being a four-time NACC Scholar-Athlete.
