Bekah (Himm) Schaffer is one of the most decorated players to ever play on the pitch for the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team. The 2001 Lake Michigan Conference Player of the Year, Schaffer is the only player in program history to be named conference Player of the Year and earn First Team All-LMC honors for four years. A prolific goal scorer, Schaffer finished her Warriors career with 81 goals in 81 matches played. She led the LMC with a school-record 29 goals in 2001, which was good for seventh in NCAA Division III. That same season, the Warriors (12-9-0, 8-4-0 LMC) finished runner-up in the LMC Tournament, marking the best season to date in program history. Schaffer holds eight school records, most notably for career points (183) and goals (81), and season points (65) and goals (29). Her four assists in a match during the 2000 season still top the record books. During her rookie campaign of 1999, the Grand Blanc, Michigan, native was runner-up for league Player of the Year after netting 24 goals, which was good for 20th in NCAA Division III. Schaffer returned for her final season with the Warriors after being forced to sit out the 2002 season due to a near-fatal case of spinal meningitis. She responded by netting a team-leading 13 goals.
